We start our January classes with a lesson on symmetry using the Japanese art of Notan as our inspiration. Time to practice our scissor skills and challenge our sense of design!

The materials needed for this class are:
- A pencil
- White paper
- Black construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
- Symmetry printout (available in the Downloads sidebar)
Optional materials are:
- An eraser
- A pencil sharpener
- A file folder or paperclip for organization
- Brightly colored construction paper for mounting your Notans
